Our Story

Ameliarush started with a simple idea between two brothers who grew up around fabric, sewing machines, and the smell of fresh cotton. Oğuzhan and Kemal Yasin Uzun spent years watching family members work with textiles, and they always felt that finding beautiful, well-made curtains online was harder than it should be. So in November 2020, working out of a small space in Lelystad, they began selling their first curtains directly to customers who wanted something better than what they found in big-box stores.

What began as a modest operation quickly grew into something more structured. In January 2021, the brothers formally registered their partnership, and ameliarush has been built on that foundation ever since, run together as a true family business rather than a faceless company.

Today, ameliarush is based at Leekerhoek 5 in Lelystad, where our small team works every day to source, check and prepare curtains before they head out to homes across the country. We handle much of the process ourselves, including much of our own delivery, because we want to stay close to every order and make sure it arrives as it should.

We believe curtains are more than just window coverings. They set the mood of a room, control the light that comes in, and often become the finishing touch that makes a house feel like home. That is why we take care in choosing fabrics that feel good, hang well, and last for years, not just seasons.

As a small, hands-on business, we do not have the resources of a large retail chain, but we make up for it with attention to detail and genuine care for our customers. Every message you send us is read by someone who actually works here, often one of the founders themselves.
